These terms and conditions govern your use of our website and your dealing with IQ Builders Merchant as a supplier. Please read these terms in full before you use this website. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, please do not use this website. Your continued use of this website confirms your acceptance of these terms.

1.1 It is not necessary to register with us in order to use most parts of this website. However, particular areas of this website will only be accessible only if you have registered.

Use of website

1.2 This website may be used for your own private purposes and in accordance with these terms and conditions.

1.3 You may print and download material from this website provided that you do not modify or reproduce any content without our prior written consent.

Website uptime

1.4 All reasonable measures are taken by us to ensure that this website is operational all day, every day. However, occasionally technical issues may result in some downtime and accordingly we will not be liable if this website is unavailable at any time.

1.5 Where possible we always try to give advance warning of maintenance issues that may result in website down time but we shall not be obliged to provide such notice.

1.6 Any material that a visitor to this website sends or posts to this website shall be considered non-proprietary and non confidential. We shall be entitled to copy, disclose, distribute or use for such other purpose as we deem appropriate all material provided to us, with the exception of personal information, the use of which is covered under our Privacy Policy.

Law and jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by English law. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.

Delivery Info
Delivery costs and times are dependent on the products ordered. Delivery times are stated on each individual product page, if no date is specified the item is available in 2-3 working days. Although on many occasions next day delivery is available. Delivery cost is calculated at the checkout.  All deliveries are subject to stock and we will be sure to give you as much notice as possible for any stock issues that may affect your delivery.

Additional Delivery charges apply for the following postcodes: PA, DD, PH, KW, KV, AB, IV, HS 

A preferred delivery date can be entered when ordering, however this is not guaranteed. 

Deliveries are made between 7.00am – 5.30pm Monday - Friday although we will give you as much notice as possible for early/late deliveries.

In all cases we are able to arrange Saturday deliveries although this is a chargeable service.

Delivery will only be arranged to destinations within mainland UK. Please supply the full delivery address at the time of order this may differ from the billing address so long as the billing address matches the card holder’s address.

Delivery will occur when the Goods are ready for unloading at the delivery address specified at time of order or as subsequently agreed by both the buyer and IQ Builders Merchant.

Any dates specified by IQ Builders Merchant for delivery of the Goods are intended to be an estimate and time for delivery shall not be made of the essence by notice. If no dates are so specified, delivery shall be within a reasonable time.

Subject to the other provisions of these conditions, IQ Builders Merchant shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss (all three of which terms include, without limitation, pure economic loss, loss of profits, loss of business, depletion of goodwill and similar loss), costs, damages, charges or expenses caused directly or indirectly by any delay in the delivery of the Goods.

It is recommended that all deliveries are arranged and received prior to arranging labour and machinery for works.

IQ Builders Merchant shall arrange for delivery to site on the understanding that there is a suitable road to the delivery address requested. If no such road exists delivery will be made to the nearest point to which, in the opinion of the driver, the vehicle may safely proceed and unload. Except for the use of a vehicle mounted crane, the Buyer will provide all necessary labour and equipment required to unload the Goods promptly.

A signature on the delivery note constitutes that all materials have been received in good order.  It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that all goods have been checked and any damages noted to the delivery driver at the time of delivery.

Delivery of all Heavyside/Big & Bulky/Pallet items are made kerbside.

All deliveries of palletised products (Brick/Block/Paving/Specified at time of order) will be delivered using a pallet truck. A Crane offload delivery service is available also at an extra cost.

Parcel deliveries will only be made once to the specified delivery address, any required re-delivery may be chargeable.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to be home/on site on the day of delivery agreed by both the buyer and IQ Builders Merchant.

Terms and Conditions of sale regarding warranties and defects

IQ Builders Merchant will be under no liability in respect of any defect in the product supplied with regards to labour or maintenance costs to remedy any issues surrounding the product supplied

IQ Builders Merchant is a reseller of building materials and landscape supplies, it is not the manufacture so a process will need to take place with regards to any grievances regarding a supplied products performance, this process will be completed within 3 months from raising of issue to completion.

IQ Builders Merchant accepts no liability if a product supplied has been installed incorrectly or is deemed as installed incorrectly by the manufacturer upon inspection or images provided.

IQ Builders Merchant reserves the right to negotiate potential settlement with a client in the event of a dispute, settlement must be gained prior to any replacement product is received and any works are undertaken, should works commence without settlement then IQ Builders Merchant will no longer negotiate any further on the matter.

In the event a warranty is offered by the manufacturer on a particular product then clarity must be gained by the consumer purchasing from IQ Builders Merchant on what the warranty offers, the warranty will only ever cover the product in question and not any form of labour cost, re-installation cost, repair costs or any other costs attributed due to a fault with a product.

Returns/Refunds
If you wish to return an items to us, please thoroughly read our terms and conditions along with the below.

1. Any items that require return that are not damaged or incorrectly delivered may be subject to a re-stocking charge, but we must be made aware within 48 hours of delivery. Restocking charges vary by item. In all cases please contact us with any questions.
2.  All refunds for returned items will be made once the item has been received back at the specified address on the returns form supplied. Refunds can take up to 24 hours to reach the bank account.

1. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that all goods have been checked and any damages noted to the delivery driver at the time of delivery.
2. All courier and supplier delivery notes will have an area to make note of any damages. All damages must be noted on this delivery note. Please open and examine all items as soon as the delivery arrives and only sign for the delivery once you can confirm it’s in good condition.
3. You must make IQ Builders Merchant (01323 406478) aware within 48 hours of any shortage or damage to any items delivered. Failure to do so may result in a request for credit/refund/return being rejected.
